How does it work?
The Pixel laser pulses create tiny ablative zones, removing the epidermis and upper dermis. The treatment then triggers the body’s natural healing process, stimulating the growth of new healthy tissue. The procedure treats small zones of skin, leaving the surrounding tissue untouched and intact. These large unaffected areas act as a reservoir for more effective and rapid healing and collagen production. The results: new, healthier, smoother tissue in place of old skin imperfections.

Treatment time varies from individual but usually takes under 30 minutes per session.
Discuss treatment time, frequency and just what to expect with our skin specialists at Clinic No 3. Typically, a course of 3 to 5 treatments; one every four to six weeks, is recommended for optimal results.

Ipixel experience
There may be a mild to severe DISCOMFORT associated with this procedure. Topical anaesthetic cream can be applied prior to the treatment for a more comfortable experience.

As iPixel is a fractional laser and uses thermal heat, there is a relatively quick healing time. You will experience REDNESS in area and “SUNBURN” like effects which may last a few hours to 2-3 days or longer (depending on a degree of the treatment – mild to aggressive).

Mild to severe SWELLING will occur immediately post-treatment and might take a few hours or days to resolve. Downtime also includes TIGHTNESS, pale (in case of a mild treatment) or dark brown (aggressive session) PIXEL PATTERN and LEATHERY FEELING on days 3-5 with FLAKING of the skin.

Full recovery is usually expected within 7-10 days. It is very important to keep the skin hydrated during this time. Avoid the sun for 4 weeks after the treatment and wear SPF30 or higher.
